Hi, I’m Matt Drabek. At some point in 2011, I was 28 years old, near the end of my dissertation, about to receive a PhD in Philosophy, and utterly clueless about my future.

There’s a lot of distance between that point and starting a blog, right?

The short answer is that I am, or have been, a left-wing activist, a philosophy professor, a professional at a corporate non-profit, a baseball fan, and a published author (in case you need proof, or need a new book). Not necessarily in that order.

I’m using this blog to write down some thoughts on some or all of the above topics. I’m using this as a space to think about these things and engage with others on ideas and issues.
